A few days ago radio presenter JoJo Wright tweeted this lovely picture of him and Tokio Hotel. It was taken on 3rd September 2008 when they did an acoustic performance for KIIS FM in the Burbank.
JoJo tweeted: “Holy crap, I miss those dudes…”.
You can see a few more pictures with the band signing stuff for fans that day in our gallery.
HAPPY “READY, SET, GO!” ANNIVERSARY, UK FANS!
27th August marks the anniversary of Tokio Hotel’s one and only UK release ever (so far!) and besides having our anniversary competition where you could be the lucky winner of a 7” Vinyl Limited UK Edition of RSG.
Like last year when we did the download week 2010 you can still download “Ready, Set, Go!” on this special day by clicking the thumbnails below:
Let’s also request the song on radio. If any radio stations have a song by Tokio Hotel it is this one! So request “Ready, Set, Go!” with your local radio stations, Kerrang! radio and BBC Radio 1. Let everyone know it’s the anniversary and we would love to hear the song get some airplay. Even though it’s the only UK music release by Tokio Hotel we have gotten in four years, we still haven’t given up hope that we’ll be included in their future “worldwide” music releases without being left out time and time again!
Also include @UMusicuk (Universal Music UK) in your tweets so they can see the feedback if you’re tweeting about this.
BBC Radio One
BBC Radio 1′s Request Show is aired on Saturday 4pm till 7pm, a prime time to get Tokio Hotel noticed!
You can request the song on Facebook here by mentioning the anniversary and asking nicely for “Ready, Set, Go!” by Tokio Hotel. They have a theme this Saturday which is “what song gives you goosebumps”. We’re sure you can think of a few reasons to justify a request for RSG other than it being the anniversary.^^ (Please note that you have to “like” their FB page to post a comment.)
And last but not least you can request it on the BBC Radio One’s website: Here. (One request has already be sent so let’s add a few more!)
Kerrang! Radio
First, Facebook! Add K! Radio’s Facebook page and request “Ready, Set, Go!”.
Second, you can also send them a few tweets @kerrangradio
If you’re feeling extra giddy about all this requesting, send a text as well! (Network Charges do apply and the base rate is 25p).
The text number is 64100 and you start your text message with a K followed by Ready Set Go by Tokio Hotel.
So that is:
64100
K Ready Set Go by Tokio Hotel!
You can listen to Kerrang! radio online HERE.
EDIT: Also tweet @romeoindemand with requests for RSG! Thanks to@KielierTwins for letting us know.
Two new pictures of the band attending the “Flea Market for ToHoKu” (Charity Auction for Japan) on 25th June 2011 have surfaced online. Source: http://fiveplus.trendy-global.com/

Tokio Hotel are featured in the current issue of Japanese magazine InRock again.
Now, this is the first time that I have my life, not being Tokio Hotel. (Bill)
Having mini live at Audi Forum Tokyo. From left to right: Georg Listing, Tom Kaulitz, Bill Kaulitz, Gustav Schäfer.
Tokio Hotel visit Japan for MTV’s VIDEO AID JAPAN (hereafter referred to VMAJ). In our last issue, we published our close coverage and photos of Tokio Hotel, this time, we will publish their interview. We haven’t met Kaulitz brothers for three months, they are still handsome, but Tom has wear a thin beard. Though they are twins, you can distinguish them from their image. Bill has shown up with beard in an award, it seems that fans are shocked. And, this time, apart from VMAJ, Tokio Hotel has also done mini live in Audi’s Showroom. There’re a lot of fans saying that they can’t wait to enjoy a normal concert. “It doesn’t matter how much money you can spend, only those, who have won the tickets, can attend this live. It’s hard.” said the fans. According to Germany’s staff, Japan’s promoter has contacted them for a few times, the band’s also full of drive. It may not be a long way to fulfill fans’ wish…?
Edit 2: We’ve revised the transcript with help of the video. Meaning, we’ve added the German bits (in brackets) and their translation, added extra bits the band were talking about, in some cases we [added things] to help with the understanding and corrected some of the things Billboard misunderstood. Sometimes it’s rather funny how the guys were confused by Billboard’s English questions. It was a bit like in this macro by nonamecomestomind – just replace the “Taiwanese” with “Russian”. XD
It’s such a fun interview!^^
Edit 1: And here’s the video!
Russian Billboard posted an interview with the band they did during their stay in Moscow for the Muz TV Awards in June this year. Apparently there’s also a video of this interview and we really hope that Billboard is posting it up sometime (preferable without Russian dubbing as it seems some things got lost in translation with them^^). We’re sure this one will make you laugh: Tom having to remind Georg that surely there would be no need for him to “rob” a bank and Bill’s idea of a funny prank… well. Find out for yourselves.
Thanks to THNews_ru for the English version! Click “read more” for all of it.
Tokio Hotel could beat each other up just for fun
In the beginning of the summer Tokio Hotel visited Russia to take part in the Muz-TV Awards. As it turned out, the guys only support the German car industry and frequently think about a soundtrack for their funeral.
Billboard: Hi guys! Today we will play in game-interview. The rules are: you pick a card in turns and ask the question to who is sitting next to you.
Georg: Who’s first?
Billboard: Who’s first?
Tom: I start!
Billboard: Ok.
Tom: And I can choose who…?
Billboard: Yeah, yes.
Georg *peeking at the question*: (Oh, na super.) Oh well, super.
*Tom reading question, contemplating*
Translator: The person next to you.
Tom: Ah, the person next to… Ah, next to me! Ah, ok.
Georg: Yeah yeah, but this question is perfect for Bill. *mischievous grin*
Bill *growing impatient*: (Was ist denn? Nu frag’ doch einfach!) So what is it? Just go ahead and ask!
