Once again the time has come for us to show everyone who has the best fans in the world! Voting for the MTVOMA ‘FAN ARMY FTW’ award is now open, and you can vote multiple times. We don’t need to tell you what to do, right?!
To vote, go HERE. You will need to sign in with either your Facebook or Twitter account. Once you’ve done that scroll down, find TOKIO HOTEL, and click VOTE! You’ll be given the option to vote and share, or just vote, then after voting, the option to vote again. Please enter as many votes as you can! Some people have recieved messages saying that they’ve reached their voting limit, but have been able to vote again a short time later. So please keep trying! We deserve this award, so let’s make sure we bring it home!
EDIT: When you click the link to the original link now, you will notice that MTV have changed the “Source” of the information they based this article on. As the copied version below shows they initially claimed the information was “according to Tokio Hotel’s official US website”. When you have a look now, you will see it gives the US Fanclub as the source. As it turned out MTV based the “Spring 2012″ claim on an article translation (Croatian OK magazine!!!) that was posted on the US FC’s website which means, there is no proper source for that claim. As we pointed out before it wasn’t confirmed anyway but it seems even more like a rumour now that we know MTV basically got the “Spring 2012″ idea from an OK magazine article. XD

MTV.tv posted an article saying that Tokio Hotel are back in the studio and the new album will be released in spring 2012. As exciting as this sounds please bear in mind that we’ve heard the “spring 2012″ estimate before and this article is not a confirmation. Take it with a pinch of salt and rather as a rumour than a confirmation.^^ Of course spring 2012 would be awesome because we’re all so excited for new music and can hardly wait for the new album.
Their Brand New Album Will Be Out in Spring 2012

It’s been a while since we’ve seen our favorite German Rockers, Tom and Bill Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer and I know we’re all on the edge waiting to hear their new material but looks like it’s all heading our way very soon according to Tokio Hotel’s official US website!
The boys haven’t really been performing much lately but that’s because they moved to Los Angeles and are spending night and day in the studio to work on their new album which is to release in Spring 2012!
Tokio Hotel are a groundbreaking and unique band and always deliver, that’s what’s got fans across the globe going crazy over them.
Their first album as Tokio Hotel, Schrei, sold more than half a million copies worldwide, their second German album Zimmer 483 and their first English album Scream which have combined album sales of over one million copies worldwide. There’s no doubt this album will follow their successful trend.
What do you think we can expect from their new album?
Sadly we won’t be part of this year’s EMA voting excitement. Even though it was to be expected that Tokio Hotel won’t be nominated due to their current “quiet time”, it’s sad to see that not even us fans got a nomination even though there is a “Biggest Fans” category this year.
All day TH fans have been adding the hashtag #AlienstheBiggestFans to their tweets and also tweeted @MTVEMA to express their disappointment about being left out in the fans category. Especially after winning “Fan Army FTW” earlier this year.
Well, here are a few pictures of Tokio Hotel signing autographs when leaving their hotel in Liverpool to attend the EMAs in 2008 where they won the “Headliner” award.
Some Chinese fans got together for a very cool idea: they sang “Monsoon” in Chinese and used when they put together this lovely video! Tokio Hotel fans have amazing dedication and it’s so cool to see fans from all over the world. We’re all united by our love for this band. <3 Greetings to China!
This year’s MTV EMAs are drawing closer and will take place in Belfast. Like every year, MTV has put together a snazzy website with loads of info & fun stuff from the past EMA events.
Bill gets a mention as one of the EMA Fashion Icons on the Red Carpet. XD They wrote the following:
EMAs Fashion Icon: Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel
Usually it’s the ladies’ wardrobe choices that make the biggest splash on the EMA red carpet. But when it comes to the frontman of the German band Tokio Hotel, his risk-taking style statements prove that men’s fashion can be anything but boring.
Bill Kaulitz, who has said he often conceives of the ideas for his costumes, reinvents the glam-punk rock look with bold eye makeup, black leather, and signature gravity-defying hair. (Though he isn’t afraid to get it wet, as he proved at the 2007 EMAs during the band’s performance of “Monsoon.”) Tokio Hotel’s music has earned them an ardent fan following, and Bill’s edgy style has earned him the title of true fashion icon.
The band also got a pic on the front page along with a “soaking-wet” mention… though we all know that Bill was not the only one who got wet!^^
Congratulations to Kristine K. from Norway who won Competition 1 with her video entry of singing “Durch den Monsun” in a quirky place. Even her dog thought it was a good place to hang out and wanted to join in.
Winner for Competition 2 is Siobhan P. from Tamworth! Congratulations to you too. We like the thought of no matter where we’re going we can take Tokio Hotel’s music with us, like Siobhan did when she went to Africa. Even then the music would accompany her, provide strength and comfort. To many people it gives a sense of home even when they’re out in the world experiencing all the new and exciting things life has got to offer.
“The most memorable place where i listened to Ready, Set, Go! and Durch den Monsun was in Sierra Leone when i did volunteer work there last October I took my ipod with me so that i could listen to Tokio Hotel.. and it really was memorable because when i was in a place SOOO different and far from home, my music was the only thing that seemed super familiar and homely:’)
Every time i listen to Ready, Set, Go now in particular, it brings back some of the most amazing memories that i’ve ever had and i absolutely love the fact that even when i was in Africa, i still had the amazingness of Tokio Hotel to keep me company! ”
We will email you two later to ask you for your details so we can send you your prizes.
Thanks to everybody who submitted an entry! It was heart-warming to hear about your experiences and to see in what way Tokio Hotel touch people’s lives by giving us their music to be by our sides wherever we may be, in happy and in sad times. <3
Bit of a random news post: Amy (@artsmarty) sent us a tweet pointing out that the film “Prom Night” will be on Channel 5 tonight at 10pm! You might wonder why this is relevant but the film features Tokio Hotel’s “By your Side” so it’s definitely worth checking out if only until the song has been played. XD Enjoy this brief encounter with Tokio Hotel on UK TV screens.^^
