On a day when Tokio Hotel fans managed to get seven amazing TH related worldwide trending topics on Twitter, the band also got a mention in a new music blog series posted on the The Guardian’s website. It’s all about the international language of pop music and “Germany” and its music started off the series.
Unfortunately, Tokio Hotel’s music didn’t get the most flattering mention but their music video for “World Behind My Wall” was linked so hopefully some people will click it and discover that there is more to Tokio Hotel than what the blog said about them.^^
More familiar to international audiences, Tokio Hotel have captured a fan-base stretching from Japan to Mexico. Androgyny is nothing new to pop-metal but vocalist Bill Kaulitz’s high cheekbones and flamboyant dress sense ensure a great deal of squinting is required to determine his gender. The music is disappointingly prosaic angst-fuelled emo though, with little of the flash their image promises.
Thanks to all your massive voting efforts Tokio Hotel won their first Japanese award earlier this year. We all remember their appearance at the MTV VMAJ awards in June this year and they were later announced as the winner for the “Best Rock Video” with Darkside of the Sun.

Voting for the MTV O Awards in the category “Fan Army FTW” ends in less than six days and hopefully you’re all still busy maxing out your daily votes!^^ Let’s not slow down during the last few days and vote HERE.
After you’ve used up all your daily votes there, you can head over to the People’s Choice website and nominate Tokio Hotel as your “Favourite Band” at the People’s Choice Awards 2012. They are not shortlisted at the moment but you can just click “Other” and put “Tokio Hotel” in the blank field next to it to nominate them.
