Recent news/rumours about Bill and Tom being judges on the upcoming season for Germany’s Pop Idol casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” might remind us of similar rumours from last year but what do you think? Would you like the twins to be judges on a casting show? Yes or no, maybe yes but rather for a different show format? Let us know your thoughts.
So far NOTHING IS CONFIRMED but here is the translation for one of the online articles reporting about it:
Tokio Hotel twins will be judges for DSDS
Teenagers’ hearts are beating faster. Reportedly Dieter Bohlen will receive celebrity assistance for the new season of RTL’s show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (literally: “Germany is looking for its superstar” which is Germany’s equivalent to “Pop Idol”). The Tokio Hotel twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz are supposed to be part of the jury in days to come.
As reported by the news service DWDL on Friday, Bill and Tom Kaulitz are supposed to select up-and-coming talent for the 10th season of RTL’s music show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS). Reportedly competitor channel Pro7 had already unsuccessfully tried to bid for the 23-years-olds from Loitsche near Magdeburg prior to this. (nb: This refers to the rumours of Bill and Tom being judges for the “The Voice” in August 2011.)
Filming is supposed to start on 24th September (2012) with the broadcasting to begin approximately three months later. Alongside the Tokio Hotel twins Culcha Candela frontman Itchy is also supposed to be part of the jury. RTL didn’t want to confirm nor deny those particulars when asked on Friday afternoon.
Three years ago Tokio Hotel had released their last album to date. However, “Humanoid” didn’t live up to expectations. Therefore, the TV appearance of the Kaulitz brothers could be seen as a comeback.
Last night their buddy Oliver Pocher took to his twitter to ask his followers who would like the idea of Bill and Tom joining the judges team. Later he also proclaimed his love for TH.^^
Needless to say that comments on various German sites reporting about the DSDS topic are mixed… as usual. XD
