Frauke Ludowig (presenter): Die sensationelle neue DSDS-Jury hatte heute ihren ersten Arbeitstag. Für „Deutschland sucht den Superstar“ kommen die Jungs von Tokio Hotel sogar aus LA zurück. Was Bohlen an Bill Kaulitz’ Outfit auszusetzen hat und ob Bill mit dem Poptitanen kann: Simon E. und Martina F.
Today the sensational new DSDS judging panel had its first work day. The guys from Tokio Hotel even came back from LA for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. What objection Bohlen has with Bill Kaulitz’ outfit and whether Bill can get along with the pop [music] titan: Simon E. and Martina F. [report about it].
Voice-over: Ob das gut geht? So viel Alphatierchen auf einem Haufen. Die vier Herren treffen sich heute zu allerersten Mal. Noch ist völlig unklar, ob die Chemie stimmt.
If this will go well? [There are] so many alpha animals in one place. The four gentlemen are meeting each other for the very first time today. It’s still totally uncertain whether the chemistry is right or not.
Das hier ist sie: die neue Kracher-DSDS-Jury. Dieter Bohlen, Tom und Bill Kaulitz von Tokio Hotel und Mateo, Frontmann der Band Culcha Candela. Erstes gemeinsames Fotoshooting. Bohlen beschnuppert Bill.

Bohlen *sniffing at Bill’s neck*: “What is that then? Smells good.“

Tom *pointing to his arm*: Dann hab’ ich noch ‘n anderes hier.

Mateo: Ja, ich hab’ ‘n paar.
Yes, I’ve got a few.
Voice.over: Und natürlich kann sich Dieter ‘nen Kommentar zu Bills Fummel nicht verkneifen.
And of course Dieter can’t refrain from making a comment about Bill’s rag.
Dieter: Ich hab’ ja so was auch zu Hause. Also, ja nur als Teppich.
I’ve also got something like that at home. Well yeah, only [difference is] that it’s a carpet.
*Bill laughing*
Dieter: Aber ansonsten hab’ ich dasselbe… also…
But apart from that I’ve got the same… well…
Tom: Ich hab so was… Ich hab’ so was untenrum. Bei mir sieht das untenrum so aus. Sieht größer aus […]

Dieter *laughing*: Iiiih. Yuck.
Bill *laughing*: Ich dachte, ich komm’ halt zum ersten Tag mal ’n bisschen schlicht, ne? Ich hab’ die verrückten Outfits im Schrank gelassen.
I thought I’d just turn up a little plainly dressed for the first day, right? I’ve left the crazy outfits in the wardrobe.
*Dieter laughing*
*in background Tom talking about his hand tattoo: Nee, nee. Mein Geburtszeitpunkt. Ich hab’ 6.20 Uhr und er hat 6.30 Uhr.
Nope, nope. [It’s] my time of birth. I’ve got 6.20am and he’s got 6.30am.*
Interviewer: Dieter, wie finden Sie das Outfit von Bill und Tom?
Dieter, what do you think about Bill and Tom’s outfit?
Dieter: Ja, geil. Also, ich kann nichts weniger ab als langweilige Leute.
[It’s] wicked of course. Well, [there’s] nothing I dislike more than boring people.
Voice-over: Und Herr Kaulitz, wie ist denn so Ihr erster Eindruck vom Poptitanen?
And Mr Kaulitz, what’s your first impression of the pop [music] titan?
Bill *laughing as Dieter threateningly shows him his fist*: Erm, wir freuen uns, erm, tierisch. Also, wie gesagt, wir haben uns ja noch nie vorher kennen gelernt und erm, wir sind natürlich froh. Dieter hat ja schon alle Staffeln gemacht und erm, das ist ganz gut natürlich da neben sich jemanden sitzen zu haben, der einfach schon so viel Staffeln gemacht hat, sich genau damit auskennt und wir freuen uns natürlich, erm, da dabei zu sein.
*laughing as Dieter threateningly shows him his fist* Erm, we’re extremely happy. Well, like we’ve said before, we’ve never met before and erm, we’re of course happy. After all Dieter has already worked on all the [previous] seasons and erm, it’s obviously very good to have someone sitting next to you who has just been on so many seasons already, who knows the robes exactly and of course we’re happy to be a part of it.
Voice-over: Bill und Tom unterbrechen für DSDS sogar die Arbeiten am neuen Album von Tokio Hotel und kehren nach fast zwei Jahren Medienpause in die Öffentlichkeit und nach Deutschland zurück. Und sie kommen mit einem ganz besonderen Anliegen zu DSDS.
For DSDS Bill and Tom are even halting their work on the new album with Tokio Hotel and are returning into the public eye and to Germany after almost two years of taking a break from the media. And they’re joining DSDS with quite a special wish.
Bill: Erm, insgeheim hoffe ich, dass es gute Frauen gibt dieses Jahr, weil es haben ja so wenig Frauen gewonnen auch bisher. Ich fänd’s ganz toll, wenn’s ’ne Künstlerin mal wieder geben könnte, weil es gibt auch zu wenig gute Künstlerinnen in Deutschland, finde ich. Und erm…
Erm, secretly I’m hoping that there will be good women this year because so far too few women have won this after all. I’d think it’s great if there could be a female artist once again because there are too few good female artists in Germany, I think.
Dieter: Deshalb sitzt hier ja auch keine in der Jury. *laughing*
This is also why there isn’t one on the judging panel. *laughing*
Bill: Ja, darum würd’ ich mich da… Da würden wir uns freuen, glaube ich.
Yeah, that’s why I’d be… We’d be really happy about it, I think.
Tom: Wir haben eine gesucht, keine gefunden.
We were looking for a female [to join the judging panel but] didn’t find one.
Mateo: Also, das mit dem Playboy für dieses Jahr, ne? Ich bin bereit für’n gutes Angebot ’n Make-Over zu machen.
Well, the thing about the Playboy for this year, right? I’d be willing to have a make-over if there’s a good offer.
Tom: Ich würde’s auch machen.
I’d also do it.
Voice-over: Ob sich tatsächlich einer der Herren für den Playboy auszieht? Ob Dieter doch noch Bills Flauschejäckchen anprobiert und ob das hier so harmonisch bleibt wie’s heute aussah? Wir verraten’s Ihnen aber erst im Januar. Solange müssen wir auf die neue DSDS-Staffel leider noch warten.
Whether or not one of the guys really gets undressed for the Playboy? Whether or not Dieter ends up wearing Bill’s fluffy little jacket after all and whether or not everything here stays in harmony as much as it appeared to be today? We’ll only reveal that to you in January though. Unfortunately that’s how long we’ll have to wait for the new DSDS season.
