Most of us will agree that this is an awesome live song and it certainly was fun in London. Back then knowing the English lyrics in time for the gig was a bit tricky for some of us (e.g. considering delivery times for imports of the album) and especially for this song because it’s not on the album. Tokio Hotel had only performed the English version of it a few days prior to the UK concert (14th June 2007 in Madrid at MTV Day Spain), so there were still some of us who didn’t even know about it – or heard of it for the first time while queuing. XD
Bill, however, seemed overly optimistic and enthusiastic to let the crowd sing parts of the song. It was rather amusing when he held up his mic for the crowd to sing and the majority of fans just sang along the German lyrics which you can tell from some of the video footage.
This video was taken with her mobile phone by our friend Kirsten (after she managed to struggle out of the crowd and move further back, near the bar). She took three more videos and we dug them up to post on our youtube channel. They had been forgotten about and were never uploaded anywhere until now.
Most of us probably roll our eyes, grin or join in with Georg’s “ooohh” whenever Tom insists in interviews that the most embarrassing moments on stage would always be Georg’s fault? Well…
This one is actually quite hilarious! Tom and Georg hadn’t done backing vocals during concerts very often at this point and it still must’ve been a pretty new experience to them. If you’ve just watched the video, you might have noticed a “strange sound” that didn’t seem quite right during the performance. It couldn’t have been Bill. So that only leaves Tom or Georg. XD If you have read the review of the “Rock Pics” article you might remember that it mentioned this little mishap and how it didn’t go unnoticed by Bill’s “sharp ears” who then “flashes him a Colgate smile”. <3
Some more videos just for fun.
