Bill did a lovely thing for one of the fans when him and Tom signed autographs backstage at MTV TRL on the Road (Italy) on 16th July: he moved her finger away from the camera lense and therefore saving the picture for her and, we're sure, also making this an unforgettable moment. XD

Making some noise

Rockers Tokio Hotel happy to pump up the volume
by Christopher Toh
05:55 AM Jul 29, 2010

The last time German rockers Tokio Hotel were in town, they played an acoustic showcase - a far cry from Humanoid City, the ballsy show they've been touring recently. This time round, when Tokio Hotel return to our shores for Singfest, they promise to rock out - albeit on a smaller scale than Humanoid City.

"We will have a full electric show, but we won't be able to bring the whole set for Humanoid City," said Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz over the phone. "But it's going to be a great show anyway."

Click "read more" for the interview.

What do you expect this time?
We expect great weather. And great audiences. Well, you know, we'd rather see the fans one-to-one than just read about them or hear about them on the Internet. This time we can see them face-to-face and see their reactions and emotions. That's always a great thing. So we're excited.

Did you see much of Singapore and try the local food last time?
The schedule was really, really tough the last time, so we didn't see the whole city and all our fans, but it was fantastic. We just ate pasta, pizza and things like that. Maybe we'll get to try some this time.

Brothers in a band aren't always a good idea. Look at Oasis. How well do you get along with Tom?
I think because we're identical twins, it's a little different. There's a connection there, it's something special. We're like one person - can't live without each other. I mean, we have fights sometimes, but five minutes later, we'll forget about it. Tommy and me, we've done everything together our whole lives. It's an enormous thing for us to be in the same band and doing all this together.

You guys were teens when you started. Any advice for young bands?
It's hard in the beginning, especially if you are very young, with people talking sh** about you. But when you're doing good music at 15 ... that's a good thing. To be successful, though, it's a lot of luck - you have to be at the right place at the right time. And a lot of hard work. We made the decision and we just wanted to go for it and do music our whole lives. We didn't care what happened. It's important to keep that goal in mind to go professional.

So you didn't think to do anything else after school?
Tom and me, we started to make music when we were seven. After school, we went directly into the rehearsal room. There was never a Plan B. If we weren't picked up by the label, I think we could have been homeless musicians, maybe. We would play anywhere - in front of five or in front of thousands. But it's better to play in front of thousands! We are really lucky to have this life. I feel really blessed.

Tokio Hotel perform at Singfest on Aug 3. Tickets at $175 from Sistic. Packages available. Details at www.sistic.com.sg.

MSN Malaysia Interview

Nice interview from MSN Malaysia, By Reta Lee/Nicholas Chow.

You guys put on a terrific show here in Malaysia back in May 2010. What do you miss most about Malaysia?

Bill: When we first came, we were so surprised because everyone was so friendly and we had a warm welcome, so we definitely missed the people and the weather, of course! But on stage, it gets a little too hot and we're not used to it; we were on a European tour and it was cold everywhere. But it was great and we look forward to the show!

What can fans expect from your performance at the MTV World Stage?

Bill: This time it's going to be bigger: production-wise and special-effects like electric shower. It's going to be really, really cool. We did think about playing naked [laughs]. I wanted to bring my costumes with me from the European tour but I think it will be too hot. Maybe something more casual this time.

Click 'Read more' for the rest of the interview!

It's been two months since we last saw you in May. What have you guys been up to?

Bill: We were in the studio and we did some promotional tour in Europe. We just launched our new DVD 'Humanoid City Live' and we recorded this at Milano. It's a fantastic live DVD and we had a lot of fun doing this. We also recorded a live album and a new video 'Darkside of The Sun'.

You are set to perform at MTV World Stage with the likes of Katy Perry and Wonder Girls. Who are you most excited to meet?

Bill: I'm most excited to meet the fans and the crowd. I've never heard about the Wondergirls; they're a completely new band to us. But, the fans are incredible and we're looking forward to our own show and concert.

Tom: For all of us, we're looking forward to our performance and I'm a big fan of Tokio Hotel, so I can't wait to see them live! And they have such a beautiful guitar player! [laughs]

Back in 2008, Katy Perry dedicated her controversial song 'Ur So Gay' to you for beating her to the 'Best New Artiste' Award. Are you flattered?

Bill: I seriously feel sorry for her that we won! Well, the best band wins [laughs]. And everyone knows we have the best fans in the world!

Tell us more about your fans.

Bill: They are loyal and they're always there for us. It feels like a whole family on the road; we have some fans who are always at our shows in Europe. We have Tokio Hotel TV and the Internet that we can always check and keep in touch with them.

We understand that Bill and Tom are turning 21 this year. Would you like any presents from your fans?

Bill: You know, I like diamonds and Ferrari! I like it when fans write us songs and post video messages to us. Georg will be buying us a Ferrari and a diamond ring!

Tom: Oh, we have a rule in the band: no presents for nobody as it would be too expensive! We've known each other for ten years and to buy amazing presents for four great people, we thought, we don't want that stress! We just have a great time together. And we party! Let's say Georg had a party when he's on tour and that was really sweet. Our bus driver arranged for a party in the tour bus! So I gave him a real, warm hug.

Georg: That's what we wish for every year.

We'll give you a hug for the success of 'Humanoid' as well.

Bill: We are so proud of this record because it's always hard to record the third album as a band. But it was exactly how we wanted; we tried new stuff in the studio and it worked live on stage. Everything's working great, especially the European tour, Malaysia and Asia, and now we're better than ever.

What's next for Tokio Hotel after MTV World Stage 2010?

Bill: Erm, we are going on a short trip to South America, and after that we go back to Europe to do more promo tours, followed by the studio to write new songs. Hopefully we get a vacation and some time off. It was a long year for us!

Where would you like to go for a vacation?

Bill: We like small islands. We always go to the Maldives, which is so beautiful. We've been there, I don't know [pauses] it's the most beautiful place in the world. I really like to go somewhere quiet where there is the beach, ocean and nothing else.

Since your band's name is Tokio Hotel, do you have any weird hotel experiences?

Bill: Yes, we've been to many hotels on our travels and we have a few favourites like the one in Singapore, actually. And we had some bad experience like this hotel in South Africa where we had our video shoot, it was called a hotel but it wasn't a hotel, really. It was like a small bungalow to fit everyone and there was camping involved! It was so f**king cold in the room and there was no heater! Nothing to eat, no Internet and water too! That was really an experience for us.

What do you guys listen to on your iPod?

Bill: It's a mixture of Aerosmith to pop stuff; I don't have this one band locked down but most of the time, I listen to this band called Tokio Hotel.

Georg: I really like the new record by 30 Seconds to Mars. I listen to it all the time.

Gustav: I listen to Devilish.

Tokio Hotel are nominated at the Brazilian MTV VMAs in the category "Artist International". Go to http://vmb.mtv.uol.com.br/votacao/artista-internacional and click "votar" to cast your vote.

To have your vote(s) counted you will need to fill in a captcha in a pop up window. However, please note that you don't have to type in everything that's given to you but only what is asked: e.g. only the numbers or only the red letters.

Shame this one wasn't "483". :P

As it's in Portuguese you will have to do a little translating. :D

numeros = numbers
vogais = vowels
consoantes = consonants
letras = letters

roxo = purple
cinzo = grey
azul = blue
rosa = pink
verde = green
laranja = orange
vermelho = red

As part of the Dogs Unleashed fanaction project (masterminded by Inger-Helena and Siiri from the Official Estonian Tokio Hotel Fanclub), two of our Street Teamers, Bee and Amiee, along with Bee's friend Gina, have been visiting the Worcester Animal Rescue Shelter to help out with the animals.

Bee and Gina have visited the center twice now, and Amiee accompanied them for the second visit. We're not sure who had more fun, the girls or the animals! :) To decide for yourselves, click read more and check out some great pictures taken at the center yesterday.

Blast from the past: On 13th October 2005 Tokio Hotel were guests on Viva Live and gave an interview to VJane Gülcan. Most of you will probably know the part with the siblings test where the twins were giving answers while holding up cardboard thumps. It's definitely a fun interview and Gülcan adds a little speed talking of her own to the mix. Some people might find her a bit over the top and she probably is but that can cause some hilarious moments. XD

You can watch the videos for the interview here: http://billkaulitz-thotel.de/wordpress/?p=2945

Viva Live – 13th October 2005

*fans screaming*
Gülcan: Hilfe! Ah, mein Ohr. Aua! Leute, guckt euch das hier mal an. *showing back of her hand* Da könnt ihr sehen, was wir gestern Schickes gemacht haben. Hier, ein Tokio Hotel-Tattoo auf meiner Hand. Wurde mir gestern aufgebügelt. Nein!
Help! Ah, my ear! Ouch! Guys, just have a look at this here. *showing back of her hand* There you can see something snazzy we did yesterday. Here, a Tokio Hotel tattoo on my hand. [It] was ironed on my hand yesterday. No! Of course, [it was] stuck on with a bit of spit and the guys will be our guests in a bit. This year they’ve scooped the Comet without... I mean, [they were] THE winners. They’ve scooped “Best Newcomer” and also the super award on top of it, the “Super Comet”. And now you can have a look at some nice, never before seen pictures of Tokio Hotel.

*applause*

*Comet backstage film*
Gustav: Ich find’s, find’s aufregend.
I think, I think it’s exciting. I think it’s nice when there are always people there and they also scream like that...
Georg *squeezing by Gustav*: Mach Platz.Move.
Gustav: … auch die ganze Zeit. Das ist… ganz cool.
… all the time. That is… quite cool.

Bill: Das Liebesnest von Sarah und Marc. Und erm…
Sarah [Conner] and Marc [Terenzi]’s love nest. And erm...
Georg: Die Kuschelecke!
The cosy corner!
Bill: Die Kuschelecke.
The cosy corner. I just wanted… I think, Tom also wanted to give a hand to Marc for a bit.
Georg: Ja. Yes.
Tom: Muss man auch, habe ich gehört. Muss man auch!
I’ve heard it’s necessary. It’s necessary!
*Georg & Gustav laughing*
Everybody gets female dancers. Stefan Raab also has got female dancers and everybody has got female dancers and we don’t. I think we also ought to have some.

Tom: Proben sind halt total öde. Also, da ist ja nichts besonderes dranne.
Rehearsals are just totally boring. Meaning, there’s nothing special about it.
Bill: Ja.
Yes. Mainly, it involves lots of waiting around all the time and then they can’t keep up and some things like that and so on.
Tom: Proben sind super ätzend.
Rehearsals suck very much.

And I think this kind of layout, like erm, that the focus is on the singer and so on and that the others could somehow feel a bit discriminated or something, that has never happened, I have to say. Gustav is more like the quiet guy. He rather likes to retreat and is quite happy that he sits behind the drums and erm, doesn’t have to go to the front.
(*Gustav to Tom: … steht falsch rum drauf, unten.
… it says it the wrong way around, down [there]*)
And erm, Tom, he’s a tremendous poser with his guitar, I have to say. Therefore he backs me up on stage. Erm, and Georg is actually more like a typical bassist. Like, [he] is more introvert. They’re just always a bit quieter and so on. Well, that’s kind of the layout and I think everybody is happy with their part.
Bill is, erm erm… the… let’s just say the “most mysterious one“ of us. Meaning, he likes to retreat and erm... doesn’t participate in a few things. Erm, if he doesn’t feel like it, he just up and leaves and things like that. He just withdraws a bit more.

Gülcan: Meine Damen und Herren, liebe Jungs da draußen, haltet eure Mädels fest: hier sind Tokio Hotel!
Ladies and gentlemen, dear boys out there, keep hold of your girls: here are Tokio Hotel!
*applause & screaming*
*Gülcan taking a picture of the band*

Gülcan: Hier auf’s Sofa. Macht es euch gemütlich.
On the sofa here. Get comfortable.
Gülcan *screaming*: Ich schrei’ jetzt mit. So Mädels, beruhigt euch. *audience making slight disapproving noises at being called „Hühner“*
*screaming*: I’m joining the screaming. Well girls, calm down. *to the band* A warm welcome and great that you’re here. Is it always like that when you go out now? That they’re screaming a bit, those hens. *audience making slight disapproving noises at being called „Hühner“ (hens)*
Bill: Ja, ab und zu.
Yes, every now and then.
Every now and then? Tell me, have you also brought presents like really good guests do?
Gustav: Selbstverständlich!
Of course!
Tom: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Ja? Dann is’ ja jut. Sonst hättet ihr gleich wieder… *motioning to the door*
Yes? That’s good then. Otherwise you could’ve *motioning to the door* straight away.
Bill: Gustavs… Gustav’s...
*Bill handing it over*
Tom: Gustavs erstes Becken.
Gustav’s first cymbal.
Bill: Genau. Exactly.
Gustav: Ja, mein erstes.
Yes, my first one.
Bill: Das ist echt Liebe.
That’s really love.
Gülcan: Dein allererstes?
Your very first one?
Gustav: Das soll was heißen.
That’s saying something.
Gülcan *taking it from Gustav*: Ach, wie süß! *motioning to the back of her neck*
*taking it from Gustav* Aww, how sweet! Thank you very much. Look, that’s what it looks like. *showing into camera* Of course you can get your hands on it sometime. [You] just have to wait for it for a little while. And erm, yesterday I was [flicking] through magazines for a bit... that was the day before yesterday... flicking through the magazines and you actually have a real tattoo here, right? *motioning to the back of her neck*
Bill: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Im Nacken. Wann haste das denn…
In the neck. When did you...
*loud cheering and clapping*
Gülcan: *to audience* Moment! *to Bill* Wann hast du das denn gemacht?
*to audience* Hold on! He only just said that he’s got a tattoo. *to Bill* When did you do that?
Bill: Erm…
Erm... Yes, how long has this been now?
Tom: ’N halbes Jahr?
Half a year?
Bill: ’N… ’N halbes Jahr?
Half a year?
Gustav: Nee. Nah.
Bill: Nee… ’n bisschen weniger.
Nope… a little less.
Tom: Doch, ’n halbes Jahr.
No, it was half a year.
Gustav: Ja? Doch schon so lange?
Was it? Really that long ago?
Bill: Irgendwie so, ja.
Something like that, yes.
Gülcan: Und? Dat tat weh, ne?
And? That hurt, didn’t it?
Totally, yes. I wanted…I wanted to quit then but we also put, like, shadows around it. Usually I already wanted to quit when he had only done the outlines but then I also didn’t want to walk around with somewhat of half a tattoo. However, it really was extremely painful, yes.
Gülcan: Aber du bist ja ’n harter Junge.
But you’re a tough boy.
Bill: Genau! Ich hab’ mich zusammen gerissen.
Exactly! I pulled myself together.
Gülcan: Ein Indianer kennt keinen Schmerz. (nb It’s a saying; literal: “A Native American knows no pain.”)
Big boys don’t cry.
*cheering*
*to Georg* Mann, bist du ruhig.
Girls… *laughing* After every word: *scream* And on Thursday, you’ve heard quite many [fans] who were all, like *scream* That was when you won the Super Comet, plus [the Comet for] Best Newcomer. *to Georg* Man, you’re quiet.
*laughter*
Gülcan *to Georg*: Du sitzt da grad so „Oah, könnt ihr mal ’n Bier holen?“.
*to Georg* You’re just sitting there right now as if to say “Oh well, can you just get me a beer?“.
*more laughter*
Georg: Ach. Well.
But that’s how it has to be, right? Some people have to be a bit like the calming influence in the band.
Gustav: Eben. Exactly.
Gülcan: Weil sonst geht’s unter. Der ganze Laden.
Because otherwise it’s going down. The whole thing.
*TH agreeing*
Gülcan: Genau. Super Cometen habt ihr gewonnen.
Exactly. You’ve won the Super Comet.
Bill: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Und erm… Ist seitdem ’n bisschen mehr passiert? Ist es noch wilder geworden um euch?
And erm… Has there been a little more happening since then? Have things around you become more wild?
Bill: Erm…
Erm… Well, I’d say that, erm, it’s getting more and more like that. After all we’ve always been thinking like… Our, our single, when it went to number one and so on. We just didn’t really know anymore what else we’d be dying to wish [to achieve], like, with this song. And then we even got nominated with this one song. We just got nominated subsequently for the Comet. We’ve already been happy with that and didn’t expect to win that one at all because we had simply been nominated subsequently. Yes, and then even the Super Comet on top of it. Well, it was pretty wicked and somehow it just gets... keeps getting better.
And prior to such an award ceremony, is it like... Tom tell me, does one maybe sit down and thinks “What am I possibly going to say?” or [is it more like] just go up there and don’t think about it?
Yes erm, well, I think it’s always better if one does it spontaneously. Erm, we also didn’t think about it. I think one could also see that with Bill.
Bill *agreeing*: Hm.
*laughter*
Gülcan: Also, nichts im Kopf gehabt, gerade?
Meaning, your mind went blank just then?
Yes, totally. Afterwards I also keep thinking, like, I’ve forgotten half the people that I actually wanted to name and then I always feel a bit bad about it but… I hadn’t prepared anything because... Yes, I think it just comes across as if it was rehearsed. That’s also kind of boring.
Komm du einfach mal her.
You’ll certainly win a few more things. I’m sure of it. Now, we’ve got something planned for you. We’ve got to do something good with the audience since you’re here. And erm, dear girls, you have to look underneath your seats to see if there’s maybe a number hidden because we’ve hidden numbers underneath the seats and if there is a, erm, number underneath, then I’m just going to pick someone and erm... There is nothing? Oh, I’m just seeing that we’ve... There are a few girls that have a number and those are our super, super fans and one of you can just come over here now, can take a picture, can [...] the boys... You, just come over here.
*girl walking over to Gülcan*
Gülcan *to girl who started crying*. Ganz ruhig. Das ist unsere Gewinnerin. So sieht sie aus. Erm, wie heißten du?
*to girl who started crying* Take it easy. This is our winner. That’s what she looks like. Erm, what are you called?
Girl: Louisa.
Gülcan: Wie? Noch mal.
Pardon? [say it] Once again.
Girl: Louisa.
Louisa, no need to cry, otherwise I’ll cry as well.
Bill: Alles cool.
Everything’s cool.
Jungs! *to Georg* Mach’ dich mal nich’ so breit da! Jetzt macht euch mal ’n bisschen schmaler.
Louisa, you can... You can [...] the boys... Just sit down on the sofa as well. Guys! *to Georg* Don’t just take up so much room there! Just squeeze up a bit closer now.
*Guys moving*aww even Bill, though he’s already almost falling off the sofa*
Bill: [...] in die Mitte.
[…] in the middle.
*to Louisa* Exactly, just sit down in the middle and I’d better be taking a picture of you.
Tom: Mach das.
Do that.
Gülcan: Bevor hier alles ausartet. Kommt, ein Mal alle „Käsekuchen“ sagen. Ein Mal „Käsekuchen“.
Before everything gets out of control here. Come on, everybody say “cheesecake” just once. One time “cheesecake”.
*nobody saying anything*
Gülcan *shouting at them*: „Käsekuchen“ hab’ ich gesagt!
*shouting at them*: I said [to say] “cheesecake”!
*laughter*
Gülcan *laughing & taking picture*: Die wollen nich’. Wenn du was dabei hast, gerade.
*laughing & taking picture*: They don’t want to [say it]. Right, so we’ve got the picture now and you can also give presents to your guys if you want to. If you happen to have anything with you right now. Yes, would you also like to ask something? Since you’re here now, you can also ask them something.
Yes, whether Georg has got a new crush or someone in sight already or something.
Georg: Nein, ich bin solo.
No, I’m single.
Gülcan *to Louisa, putting her hand on her leg*: Nicht zittern! Ruhig bleiben. Die sind doch total nett.
*to Louisa, putting her hand on her leg* No need to shake! Stay calm. They’re totally nice, you know.
Bill *sing-sanging a bit*: Solo. Single.
Tom: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Guck’ mal, die beißen gar nicht. Die kann man auch ’n bisschen schubsen. *bumping into Gustav’s side* Siehste, machen nichts.
Just look, they don’t bite at all. One can even shove them a bit as well. *bumping into Gustav’s side* See, [they] don’t do anything.
Bill: Der einzige…
The only one… Gustav is the only one who is taken at the moment.
Louisa: Ja, das wissen wir ja alle.
Yes, all of us know that.
Gülcan: Bist du wirklich?
Are you really?
Gustav: Ja, ich…
Yes, I…
Bill *sounding a bit surprised*: Das wisst ihr schon alles.
*sounding a bit surprised*: You already know all of that.
Gülcan *to Gustav*: An wen denn?
*to Gustav*: To whom?
Bill: Wir haben…
We’ve...
Gustav: An eine Dame, hauptsächlich.
To a lady, mainly.
Tom: Wir haben’s eben erst in ’nem Interview erfahren.
We only just got to know about that in an interview.
Gülcan: Ach, an eine Frau.
Oh, to a woman.
Gustav: Ja. *pointing to Georg* Du, ne? Ja?
Tell me, who… What piggy was that? I read about one of you that he always wants to have pictures of girls from behind. *pointing to Georg* [It was] you, right? Yes?
Tom: Was? Fotos von... What? Pictures of...
Georg: Ich? Me?
You always want to have pictures of fans photographed from behind.
Georg *grinning*: Gerne. Also…
*grinning*: Fine with me. Well…
Tom *mocking*: Nee nee nee.
*mocking* Well, well, well.
Yes, that’s what I’d call a piggy and here’s a video of the piggies now, which is „Durch den Monsun“. Have fun with it.

*after video was played*

Right, so that’s them. Bill and Tom: siblings by trade and also music making people with Tokio Hotel. Also sitting there are Georg and Gustav and you’re rather the more relaxed ones, a bit quieter and more chilled. That’s why you can just keep sitting here in peace for a while and I’m taking those two, erm.... I almost wanted to say “rascals”... Erm, I’m just taking you two guys with me and we’re going to play a bit.
Tom *slightly chuckling*: „Bengels“. “Rascals”.
Bill: Wohin... Where...
Gülcan: Kommt mal. Kommt mal mit Gülcan spielen. Wollt ihr mit mir spielen? *laughing*
Come on. Come on, playing with Gülcan. Do you want to play with me? *laughing*
Tom: Wir gehen spielen?
We’re going to play?
Bill: … spielen. ... play.
Gülcan: Ja. Stellt euch mal hier bitte Rücken an Rücken auf. Wir machen den Geschwistertest. Ich will mal wissen… Also, gleich…
Yes. Stand back to back please. We’re going to have a siblings test. I just want to know... Well, in a bit... After all, you’d be looking the same if anybody would somehow take everything off you...
Tom: Ja, da sieht man aber so, dass Bill größer is’. Is’ scheiße.
Well, now it’s easy to see that Bill is taller than me. That’s sh*t.
*laughter*
Gülcan: Is’ er größer?
He’s taller?
Tom: Ja! Yes!
Gülcan: Echt? Really?
Bill *turning around*: Ich bin größer.
*turning around* I’m taller.
Tom: Aber das liegt an den Plateauschuhen.
But that’s because of his platform shoes.
Bill: Ja. Yes. *laughing*
Gülcan: Plateauschuhen? Nein! Hast du Buffalos an?
Platform shoes? No! Are you wearing Buffalos?
Tom: Ja. Yes.
Bill: Wat?! Whut?!
Gülcan: Um Gottes Willen.
For God’s sake.
*laughter*
Well, it could’ve been . You’re getting one of those little thumbs as well. *walking around to Bill* Just like your brother and “red” means “Yes, I am. I agree with it.”
Bill: Ja. Yes.
And if you’re showing “blue“, it means “No no, I am totally not.” Meaning, I’m going to ask you a question and we’ll see if you’re giving the same answer, right?
Bill: Also, „Rot“ is’ „richtig“ und „Blau“ ist „falsch“?
So “red” means “correct“ and ”blue” means “wrong”?
Gülcan: „Rot“ ist „Ja, ich bin“. Also, „Ich bin z.B. flippig.“ und „Blau“ is’ „Nö nö nö, ich bin ruhig.“
“Red” means “Yes, I am.“. Like “I am e.g. funky” and “blue” means “No no no, I’m calm.”
Bill: Ach so, ok.
Ah, alright.
Tom: Jut. Okay.
Gülcan: Also, fangen wir mal an. Erm, meine erste Frage: Bist du romantisch?
Alright, let’s get started. Erm, my first question: Are you romantic?
Tom: Was müssen…
What do we have to...
Bill *getting confused in what direction he is supposed to show his chosen colour*: Du musst da hinzeigen, ne?
*getting confused in what direction he is supposed to show his chosen colour*: It has to be shown in that direction, right?
Gülcan: Jetzt, biste? Wenn ja, dann zeigste… Das heißt, biste *shaking her head in the negative*Tom agreeing* Ok. Ok, dann genau da rein.
So, are you? If yes, just show… That means, you are *shaking her head in the negative*Tom agreeing* Ok. Ok, then [show it] directly into that [camera].
Bill: Was hat er denn gezeigt?
What did he show just then?
Gülcan: Ah, also das passt schon mal sehr, sehr gut. Nämlich gar nicht.
Oh, so that already matches very, very well. Meaning, not at all.
*Bill turning around to glimpse at what colour Tom held up*
Gülcan: Na, nich’ luschern!
Oi, no sneaky peeks!
Bill: Na ja.
Oh well.
Gülcan: So, nächste Frage: Hast du schon mal einen Liebesbrief geschrieben? An eine Dame.
Right, next question: Have you ever written a love letter? To a lady?
Bill: Och joah.
Och yeah.
*laughter*audience telling Bill off for saying it out loud*: Nicht vorher sagen.
Don’t already give it away.
Gülcan: Habt ihr beide? *looking at their chosen colours* Ok, das stimmt schon mal. Das ist sehr gut. Erm, kocht ihr?
Both of you got it? *looking at their chosen colours* Okay, so that matches now. That’s very good. Erm, do you cook?
*laugher*Bill immediately showing blue side*
Gülcan: Könnt ihr kochen?
Can you cook?
Tom: Also, wir sind beide...
Well, both of us are…
Gülcan: Weil das ist ganz wichtig.
Because that’s very important.
Tom: Wir können beide Sauce kochen.
Both of us can cook sauce.
Bill *slightly rolling his eyes*: Ey, das... Ey, that’s...
*laughter*
Gülcan: Das ist ganz wichtig. Frauen stehen da drauf.
It’s very important. Woman dig it.
Tom: Ja, ansonsten… erm…
Yes, apart from that… erm…
Women think it’s very cool if men can cook.
*audience agreeing*
Bill *slightly turning his head around to Tom and bumping his elbow into his side*: Tom, sag die Wahrheit.
*slightly turning his head around to Tom and bumping his elbow into his side*: Tom, say the truth.
Gülcan: Also Jungs, jetzt sagt mal schön „nein“, ihr beiden.. *laughing*
Come on guys, both of you just say “no“. *laughing*
Tom *to Bill*: Können wir kochen?
Can we cook?
Bill: Nee. Nope.
Gülcan *looking at the colours*: Oh. Ok.
Tom: Wir könnten… We could…
Gülcan: Aber… Aber es stimmt überein. Beide sagen “nein”. Erm, mögt ihr gern so Kuschel-Abende? Vielleicht auch mit der Band. Einfach auf’m Sofa.
But... But it matches. Both are saying “no”. Erm, do you care for, like, cuddly evenings? Maybe also with the band. Just on the sofa.
*loads of laughter*
*Tom giving Gülcan a look*
Gülcan *laughing*: Also, einfach so... Kuschel-Abende. Steht ihr da drauf?
*laughing* Well, just like… cuddly evenings. Are you into that?
*Bill changing his colours around*
Tom: Mit DVD und so...?
Like with a DVD and stuff…?
Gülcan: Mit DVD, mit Jungs, Mädels… alles was da grad steht.
With a DVD, with guys, girls… everything that’s around just then.
*Tom laughing*
Bill: Ich mach’… Ich mach’ so die Mitte. Ich weiß… Manchmal.
I choose… I choose, like, a happy medium. I [don’t] know... Sometimes.
Gülcan: Mal Hüh, mal Hott.
One time hot, one time cold.
Bill: Ja, genau.
Yes, exactly.
Gülcan: Ok, gut. Das stimmt aber nicht überein. Dann erm… Oh, wichtige Frage: Biste treu?
Ok, good. That doesn’t match though. Then erm... Oh, [that’s an] important question: Are you faithful?
Audience: Neeiiin. Noooo.
*Twins both showing “red“*
*audience cheering & clapping*
Gülcan: Beide “ja”. Wir freuen uns.
Both [showing] “yes”. We’re happy.
*Bill peeking around at Tom’s colour again*
Gülcan: Und noch eine ganz wichtige Frage. Mädels, das wollt ihr auch alle wissen. Ganz bestimmt. Tragt ihr Tennissocken im Bett?
And another very important question. Girls, all of you will want to know this one as well. For sure. Do you wear tennis socks in bed?
*laughter*
*Bill confusing direction to show his colour again, first showing ”red“ but changing to „blue“: Nein! No!
Ok, both of them don’t. That’s very good. Now we’re going to watch a wonderful music video. We’ve got to know those two a bit better now and we’re getting something great: Marc Terenzi.
Bill *sarcastic*: Herrlich! Splendid!
Gülcan: Jaaa. Yeees. *announcing song*

*after video was played*

*talking a bit quieter, meekly* Der Bill fehlt. *talking louder again* Aber ansonsten... *audience protesting* *Gülcan showing picture with Bill missing & Tom looking down*... Sonst, sonst sind alle drauf. Versprochen! Sonst sind alle drauf. Hier kann man’s sehen. Guckt mal. Was ganz Wichtiges. *to person on the phone* Hallo!
Whoops-a-daisy, we’re back with Viva Live. I have to hold on to my microphone so that it doesn’t fly away. Tokio Gülcan showing picture with Bill missing & Tom looking down*... Other than that, everybody else is in it. I swear! Apart from that, everybody else is in it. Here you can see it. Just look. And now on the phone, we’ve also got – we just keep going with the fans right away – somebody for you who wants to know something. Something very important.*to person on the phone* Hello!
Girl: Hallo, hier ist Jenny.
Hello, it’s Jenny here.
*band saying hi*
Gülcan: Oh, Jenny. Jenny, du hörst dich ganz ruhig und entspannt an.
Oh, Jenny. Jenny you really sound pretty quiet and relaxed.
Jenny: Na, bin ich eigentlich nicht.
Well, actually I’m not.
Gülcan: Bist du nicht?
You’re not?
Jenny: Nee. Nope.
Gülcan: Und erm… Hast du die Jungs schon mal live gesehen, sach’ mal? So richtig vor dir?
And erm… Tell me, have you ever seen the boys live before? Like, really in front of you?
Jenny: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Wo denn?!
Where was that?!
Jenny: Erm, bei Sputnik.
Erm, at Sputnik. (nb It’s a radio station.)
Gülcan: Bei Sputnik?
At, Sputnik?
Tom: Ah.
Bill: Das könnte sein.
That could be possible.
Gülcan: Ja? It could?
Tom: Ja. Yes.
Bill: Das ist da so’n Glasstudio. Da können immer alle so reingucken.
It’s like a studio surrounded by glass [windows]. So everybody can look inside.
Gülcan: Ach so.
I see. Oh well, the boys are everywhere these days, right? You’ve also got a question for those... four.
Yes, and that’s: How do you feel about it when fans are standing outside your house?
Gülcan *sounding totally surprised*: Ihr habt ’n Haus?
*sounding totally surprised*: You’ve got a house?
*lots of laughter*
Tom *sarcastic*: Nee. Nope.
Well, I have to say, erm… I always feel a bit bad because many also just sleep in the bus stop and Tom and I, we’re barely even there because we’re, erm, actually always in the city. Because we just live in a very small village, you know.
Gülcan: Ja. Yes.
We’re actually always in the city and therefore we’re only home to sleep every now and then. And apart from that we can’t be found there actually and everybody is always just standing around for nothing then. So therefore I’d say it’s more likely to encounter us at our concerts. So therefore I wouldn’t...
Tom *grinning because obviously one should hope that the band itself is actually around for their own concerts*: Das ist möglich, ja. Beim Konzert...
*grinning because obviously one should hope that the band itself is actually around for their own concerts*: That’s likely, yes. At a concert...
Georg *joining in with the mocking*: Ab und zu mal.
*joining in with the mocking*: From time to time.
Bill *acknowledging Tom’s comment with a short laugh but continuing to talk*: ...würde ich nich’ unbedingt sagen, dass die, erm... vor... Zuhause...
*acknowledging Tom’s comment with a short laugh but continuing to talk*: ... I wouldn’t necessarily say that they, erm... in front of our house... Well, in general, like, I don’t think it’s too bad if they only just stand there and the likes and we happen to come outside and write autographs. Erm meaning, it’s not like we’re being harassed somehow or anything, right?
Tom: Nö. Nope.
Gülcan *being slightly sarcastic*: Nö, ne?
*being slightly sarcastic*: Nope, right? You’re not being harassed. That’s good. So you can go and stand there yourself soon, if you want to or just go to another concert. That’s better, isn’t it?
Jenny: Ja. Yes.
Tom: Tschau. Bye.
Gülcan: Danke schön für deinen Anruf. Ach Mensch, du hörst dich ja gar nicht gut an. Bis denn. Tschüß.
Thanks for your call. Oh man, you don’t sound too well. So long. Bye.
*applause*
„Overground“-
Shortly “Overground“ will be on our stage. *to the band* Are you also looking forward to it? “Overground” -
Georg: Ja. Yes.
Tom *sarcastic*: Ja, unglaublich! *big grin*laughing*
*sarcastic*: Yes, incredibly! *big grin*laughing*
Also, bis gleich.
They’ll perfom their new song on stage in a little while and Tokio Hotel will also stay with us. So, see you soon.

(nb Such as Gustav seemingly having fallen asleep. *shouting into crowd* Seid doch mal ruhig!
Welcome back to Viva Live’s big boy group day. Tokio Hotel are still sitting here with me and guys, during the breaks there are crazy things going on here. (nb Such as Gustav seemingly having fallen asleep. XD) Girls who start crying just like that and erm, screaming around. It’s not [...] anymore *shouting into crowd* Just be quiet for once! *laughing* Silence, all of you. Right, now the party’s over. Now we’re getting to the serious side of life. Guys, the serious side of life is up for you as well soon. Meaning, with Bravo. You were involved in a really big project and got 55,000 girls... Like, you got letters from them.
Tom: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Und habt daraus 100 ausgesucht, ne?
And you picked 100 out of those, right?
Gustav: Ja. Yes.
Tom: Ja, stimmt. Yes, that’s right.
Bill: Aber… But…
Gülcan: Nach was geht man denn da?
What does one judge by?
Tom: Na, nach…
By, by…
*grinning*
The difficulty lies… There were also always pictures included. And one doesn’t get to know somebody else by looking at a letter. Therefore one also just goes by whose appearance is appealing. Of course we were also looking at who put lots of effort into it. Some were very cute and even wrote poems and somehow put nice frames around it and things like that. And if one puts so much effort into it, then it gets looked at a bit closer. Some things weren’t made with as much effort and so those weren’t even considered and erm... *grinning*
*audience going ooohhh*
Bill: Und ja, so lief das dann.
And yes, that’s how it went.
Tom: Genau. Exactly.
But I’ve got to say that we were sat down the whole day long, from morning to night and...
Tom: Ja, von… Yes, from…
We’ll talk about that some more in a bit. Erm, we’ve got to do something very important now: Dear folks, “Overground” are on stage! Big round of applause [for them]! Enjoy!
*cheering, clapping*

Gülcan: Heili Geili. Das waren „Overground“. Vielen Dank, Jungs! Au revoir, bis zum nächsten Mal. Jetzt müssen sie leider wieder gehen. Die Termine, Termine natürlich. Aber Tokio Hotel sind immer noch bei uns und erm… *audience still cheering* Ich habe was ganz Wahnsinniges gehört. Erm, euer Album, ne? Ist auf Platz Nummer drei?! Wie kommt’s denn da hin?
Holy moley! That were “Overground“. Many thanks, guys! Au revoir, until next time. Unfortunately they have to leave now. Due to other appointments, of course. However, Tokio Hotel are still with us and erm... *audience still cheering* I’ve heard of something really cool. Erm, your album, yeah? It’s number three [in the charts]?! How did it happen to get there?
Tom: Wie kommt’s denn da hin?
How did it happen to get there?
Gülcan: Ja, so schnell? Also, ist ja nicht schlecht.
Yes, this fast? Meaning, that’s really not bad.
Bill: Das ist schon nicht schlecht.
That really isn’t bad.
Tom: Also… Well...
It was also somewhat astonishing for us.
Tom: Also, erst auf zwei und jetzt auf drei und erm, mal schauen was die nächste Woche gibt so.
Well, at first it was number two and now three and erm, we’ll see what the next week will bring.
*audience making pitiful oooohhh noise*
Nah, there’s no need for “oh“. We’re happy just the same. Somehow it’s, like, incredible that we’ve got our album in the top five. Well, our single was already incredible [to have made # 1] and then, we would’ve never thought that our album would also enter the charts that high. Meaning, it’s really, really good. And we’ll be on tour in December. After all, we want to...
Gülcan: Am 4. geht’s los, ne?
It starts on 4th [December], right?
Bill: Genau.
Exactly. After all, we want to, erm… like… The fans have done their job now, so to speak, we want to give something back now and will be going on tour and want to play live many, many times. We’re looking forward to it.
That’ll rock, for sure. I think all the girls screaming in the corner over there well be going as well and you also totally rocked the Comet. The “Söhne Mannheims” also scooped many [awards]: Best Download Song and Best Album. And now we’re having a “Germany Premiere”, guys. Here is Xavier Naidoo for you. Here you go.

*Xavier Naidoo video being played*

Dear folks, that was Xavier Naidoo and if you liked it, you can also see that video on Viva Plus in a bit. Meaning, just switch channels in a little while but for now stay with us a little bit longer because we still have a few seconds left with Tokio Hotel. Guys, have you ever received such a warm welcome like ours?
Bill: Erm, selten.
Erm, not so often.
Gülcan: Selten, ne?
Not so often, right?
*Tom laughing*
Bill: Nee also, wir sind immer wieder gerne hier, ja?
Well no, we’re always happy to be here, you know?
Tom: Ja, das stimmt.
Yes, that’s true.
And ey, tell me, have you got time at 3pm tomorrow?
Errrm, it always slips my mind but we can…
Tom: Wir haben morgen…
Tomorrow we’ll have…
Gülcan: Bestimmt: Ihr müsst nämlich Viva Live gucken, weil da kommen „Scooter“ morgen.
Certainly. Meaning that you’ll have to watch Viva Live because “Scooter“ will be here tomorrow.
Tom: Ok, nee.
Oh okay, no.
Georg & Gustav: Oh.
Bill: Ach so. *kidding* Unbedingt. Dafür nehmen wir uns Zeit.
I see. *kidding* Definitely. We’ll take the time for that.
Gülcan *turning to audience*: Mädels, “Scooter”! *cheering getting louder and louder* Oh Gott, mein Mikro. Also, viel Spaß damit, liebe Leute.
*turning to audience*: Girls, “Scooter“! *laughing* Ok, they’re kind of looking forward to it. I’m definitely looking forward to it. You can also still apply to be VJ of the Day. All you’ve got to do is drop by our website and now we’ll have something very nice for you. It’s about us asking you: what... erm, Which band would you like to get back together again? You’ll get the answers now. *cheering getting louder and louder* Oh gosh, my microphone. Well, have fun with that, guys. We’ll be back with “Scooter” tomorrow. They’ll be here with us. The week after next they’ll be co-presenting and that was Tokio Hotel! Bye! See you tomorrow! Au revoir!

Blast from the past: On 13th October 2005 Tokio Hotel were guests on Viva Live and gave an interview to VJane Gülcan. Most of you will probably know the part with the siblings test where the twins were giving answers while holding up cardboard thumps. It’s definitely a fun interview and Gülcan adds a little speed talking of her own to the mix. Some people might find her a bit over the top and she probably is but that can cause some hilarious moments.

This year they’ve scooped the Comet without… I mean, [they were] THE winners.

I think it’s nice when there are always people there and they also scream like that…
Georg *squeezing by Gustav*: Mach Platz.Move.
Gustav: … auch die ganze Zeit. Das ist… ganz cool.
… all the time. That is… quite cool.

Bill: Das Liebesnest von Sarah und Marc. Und erm…
Sarah [Conner] and Marc [Terenzi]’s love nest. And erm…

Meaning, he likes to retreat and erm… doesn’t participate in a few things.

Bill: Gustavs… Gustav’s…
*Bill handing it over*
Tom: Gustavs erstes Becken.
Gustav’s first cymbal.
Bill: Genau. Exactly.
Gustav: Ja, mein erstes.
Yes, my first one.
Bill: Das ist echt Liebe.
That’s really love.
Gülcan: Dein allererstes?
Your very first one?
Gustav: Das soll was heißen.
That’s saying something.
Gülcan *taking it from Gustav*: Ach, wie süß! *motioning to the back of her neck*
*taking it from Gustav* Aww, how sweet! Thank you very much. Look, that’s what it looks like. *showing into camera* Of course you can get your hands on it sometime. [You] just have to wait for it for a little while. And erm, yesterday I was [flicking] through magazines for a bit… that was the day before yesterday… flicking through the magazines and you actually have a real tattoo here, right? *motioning to the back of her neck*
Bill: Ja. Yes.
Gülcan: Im Nacken. Wann haste das denn…
In the neck. When did you...
*loud cheering and clapping*
Gülcan: *to audience* Moment! *to Bill* Wann hast du das denn gemacht?
*to audience* Hold on! He only just said that he’s got a tattoo. *to Bill* When did you do that?
Bill: Erm…
Erm… Yes, how long has this been now?
Well, it was pretty wicked and somehow it just gets… keeps getting better.
And prior to such an award ceremony, is it like… Tom tell me, does one maybe sit down and thinks “What am I possibly going to say?” or [is it more like] just go up there and don’t think about it?
Yes erm, well, I think it’s always better if one does it spontaneously. Erm, we also didn’t think about it. I think one could also see that with Bill.
Bill *agreeing*: Hm.
*laughter*
Gülcan: Also, nichts im Kopf gehabt, gerade?
Meaning, your mind went blank just then?
Yes, totally. Afterwards I also keep thinking, like, I’ve forgotten half the people that I actually wanted to name and then I always feel a bit bad about it but… I hadn’t prepared anything because… Yes, I think it just comes across as if it was rehearsed. That’s also kind of boring.
Komm du einfach mal her.
You’ll certainly win a few more things. I’m sure of it. Now, we’ve got something planned for you. We’ve got to do something good with the audience since you’re here. And erm, dear girls, you have to look underneath your seats to see if there’s maybe a number hidden because we’ve hidden numbers underneath the seats and if there is a, erm, number underneath, then I’m just going to pick someone and erm… There is nothing? Oh, I’m just seeing that we’ve… There are a few girls that have a number and those are our super, super fans and one of you can just come over here now, can take a picture, can […] the boys… You, just come over here.
Louisa, you can… You can […] the boys… Just sit down on the sofa as well. Guys! *to Georg* Don’t just take up so much room there! Just squeeze up a bit closer now.
*Guys moving*aww even Bill, though he’s already almost falling off the sofa*
Bill: […] in die Mitte.
We’ve…
Gustav: An eine Dame, hauptsächlich.
To a lady, mainly.
Tom: Wir haben’s eben erst in ’nem Interview erfahren.
We only just got to know about that in an interview.
Gülcan: Ach, an eine Frau.
Oh, to a woman.
Gustav: Ja. *pointing to Georg* Du, ne? Ja?
Tell me, who… What piggy was that? I read about one of you that he always wants to have pictures of girls from behind. *pointing to Georg* [It was] you, right? Yes?
Tom: Was? Fotos von… What? Pictures of…
Georg: Ich?

That’s why you can just keep sitting here in peace for a while and I’m taking those two, erm…. I almost wanted to say “rascals”… Erm, I’m just taking you two guys with me and we’re going to play a bit.
Tom *slightly chuckling*: „Bengels“. “Rascals”.
Bill: Wohin… Where…
Gülcan: Kommt mal.
… play.
Gülcan: Ja. Stellt euch mal hier bitte Rücken an Rücken auf. Wir machen den Geschwistertest. Ich will mal wissen… Also, gleich…
Yes. Stand back to back please. We’re going to have a siblings test. I just want to know… Well, in a bit… After all, you’d be looking the same if anybody would somehow take everything off you…
Tom: Ja, da sieht man aber so, dass Bill größer is’.
What do we have to…
Bill *getting confused in what direction he is supposed to show his chosen colour*: Du musst da hinzeigen, ne?
Tom: Also, wir sind beide…
Well, both of us are…
Gülcan: Weil das ist ganz wichtig.
Because that’s very important.
Tom: Wir können beide Sauce kochen.
Both of us can cook sauce.
Bill *slightly rolling his eyes*: Ey, das… Ey, that’s…
But… But it matches. Both are saying “no”. Erm, do you care for, like, cuddly evenings? Maybe also with the band. Just on the sofa.
*loads of laughter*
*Tom giving Gülcan a look*
Gülcan *laughing*: Also, einfach so… Kuschel-Abende. Steht ihr da drauf?
*laughing* Well, just like… cuddly evenings. Are you into that?
*Bill changing his colours around*
Tom: Mit DVD und so…?
Like with a DVD and stuff…?
Gülcan: Mit DVD, mit Jungs, Mädels… alles was da grad steht.
With a DVD, with guys, girls… everything that’s around just then.
*Tom laughing*
Bill: Ich mach’… Ich mach’ so die Mitte. Ich weiß… Manchmal.
I choose… I choose, like, a happy medium. I [don’t] know… Sometimes.
Gülcan: Mal Hüh, mal Hott.
One time hot, one time cold.
Bill: Ja, genau.
Yes, exactly.
Gülcan: Ok, gut. Das stimmt aber nicht überein. Dann erm… Oh, wichtige Frage: Biste treu?
Ok, good. That doesn’t match though. Then erm… Oh, [that’s an] important question: Are you faithful?
Audience: Neeiiin. Noooo.
*Twins both showing “red“*
*audience cheering & clapping*
Gülcan: Beide “ja”. Wir freuen uns.
Both [showing] “yes”. We’re happy.
*Bill peeking around at Tom’s colour again*
Gülcan: Und noch eine ganz wichtige Frage. Mädels, das wollt ihr auch alle wissen. Ganz bestimmt. Tragt ihr Tennissocken im Bett?
And another very important question. Girls, all of you will want to know this one as well. For sure. Do you wear tennis socks in bed?
*laughter*
*Bill confusing direction to show his colour again, first showing ”red“ but changing to „blue“: Nein! No!
Ok, both of them don’t. That’s very good. Now we’re going to watch a wonderful music video. We’ve got to know those two a bit better now and we’re getting something great: Marc Terenzi.
Bill *sarcastic*: Herrlich! Splendid!
Gülcan: Jaaa. Yeees. *announcing song*

*after video was played*

*talking a bit quieter, meekly* Der Bill fehlt. *talking louder again* Aber ansonsten… *audience protesting* *Gülcan showing picture with Bill missing & Tom looking down*… Sonst, sonst sind alle drauf.
Tokio Gülcan showing picture with Bill missing & Tom looking down*… Other than that, everybody else is in it.
You’ve also got a question for those… four.
So therefore I wouldn’t…
Tom *grinning because obviously one should hope that the band itself is actually around for their own concerts*: Das ist möglich, ja. Beim Konzert…
*grinning because obviously one should hope that the band itself is actually around for their own concerts*: That’s likely, yes. At a concert…
Georg *joining in with the mocking*: Ab und zu mal.
*joining in with the mocking*: From time to time.
Bill *acknowledging Tom’s comment with a short laugh but continuing to talk*: …würde ich nich’ unbedingt sagen, dass die, erm… vor… Zuhause…
*acknowledging Tom’s comment with a short laugh but continuing to talk*: … I wouldn’t necessarily say that they, erm… in front of our house… Well, in general, like, I don’t think it’s too bad if they only just stand there and the likes and we happen to come outside and write autographs.

It’s not […] anymore *shouting into crowd* Just be quiet for once! *laughing* Silence, all of you. Right, now the party’s over. Now we’re getting to the serious side of life. Guys, the serious side of life is up for you as well soon. Meaning, with Bravo. You were involved in a really big project and got 55,000 girls… Like, you got letters from them.
Tom: Ja.
Some things weren’t made with as much effort and so those weren’t even considered and erm… *grinning*
*audience going ooohhh*
Bill: Und ja, so lief das dann.
And yes, that’s how it went.
Tom: Genau. Exactly.
But I’ve got to say that we were sat down the whole day long, from morning to night and…
Tom: Ja, von… Yes, from…
We’ll talk about that some more in a bit. Erm, we’ve got to do something very important now: Dear folks, “Overground” are on stage! Big round of applause [for them]! Enjoy!
*cheering, clapping*

Gülcan: Heili Geili. Das waren „Overground“. Vielen Dank, Jungs! Au revoir, bis zum nächsten Mal. Jetzt müssen sie leider wieder gehen. Die Termine, Termine natürlich. Aber Tokio Hotel sind immer noch bei uns und erm… *audience still cheering* Ich habe was ganz Wahnsinniges gehört. Erm, euer Album, ne? Ist auf Platz Nummer drei?! Wie kommt’s denn da hin?
Holy moley! That were “Overground“. Many thanks, guys! Au revoir, until next time. Unfortunately they have to leave now. Due to other appointments, of course. However, Tokio Hotel are still with us and erm… *audience still cheering* I’ve heard of something really cool.
Tom: Also… Well…
It was also somewhat astonishing for us.
After all, we want to…
Gülcan: Am 4. geht’s los, ne?

It’s about us asking you: what… erm, Which band would you like to get back together again? You’ll get the answers now. *cheering getting louder and louder* Oh gosh, my microphone. Well, have fun with that, guys. We’ll be back with “Scooter” tomorrow. They’ll be here with us. The week after next they’ll be co-presenting and that was Tokio Hotel! Bye! See you tomorrow! Au revoir!

On Tokio Hotel's official site you can find the interview with the twins about the Live DVD that was posted by German Amazon a few days ago with English subtitles now. There are some spoilers taken from the new DVD so don't watch it, if you don't want to see those. :P

As we've mentioned before you can order the Humanoid City Live DVD/CD combo as an import on Amazon UK and they also have the live CD only in stock as an import now. It does cost £27.99 if you buy it from Amazon directly which is the same price as if you'd get the DVD/CD combo so it's very much on the expensive side. However, there are also a few sellers with rather good ratings offering the live CD. Just have a look around if you hadn't had the chance to order your copy yet.

Oh, that was awfully nice of MTV UK. XD

A few days ago, they asked the following on their Facebook:
MTV UK ‎(Via MTV Europe Music Awards) "If you could only listen to 3 artists for the rest of your life, which three would you choose?"

Of course there was fans replying with "Tokio Hotel" and MTV UK made a joke that almost sounded like one of us UK fans would have made it. *lol*

Good to know they also love "Bill and the gang". :D Show some more UK love for Tokio Hotel by commenting on MTV UK's facebook here and/or just tweet them @mtvuk

Italian Vogue confirmed on their Facebook that their October issue of L'Uomo Vogue will feature a photoshoot with the twins. Until then, have a look at some more pictures of Bill and Tom when they were in Catania/Italy to appear on TRL on the Road on 16th July 2010.

Before you start looking at the pics, make sure to check out Tom's Blog if you haven't yet. He humours us with a post regarding Bill's granny sweetheart from the recent THTV episode. XD

TRL on the Road (Italy) - 16th July 2010

Bill and Tom were guests on Italy's TRL on the Road and if you couldn't watch the live stream and are quick you might still catch the interview videos on youtube. Some of them have already been removed so it's probably just a matter of time for them to be gone.

Some fans made it to the show, e.g. HaenniTH who posted some pictures and a lovely video of the twins while Tokio Hotel's latest video for Darkside of the Sun was played on the show. Bill and Tom gave some happy smiles, enjoying the crowd singing along. :D

Click "read more" for HaenniTH's pictures.

Taff (15th July) - Humanoid City Live release

German TV show Taff featured a little snippet for the release of the Live DVD. Click "read more" for the video (it shows live footage but isn't very long).

Translation:
Tokio Hotel live and not from this world. We’ve never been quite sure what kind of creature Bill Kaulitz actually is. One parent was an alien judging from the stage outfit. Never mind though. The show that the guys delivered on their Humanoid tour is quite impressive. And to go down in rock history one gets filmed by a famous director for an expensive DVD. Alien believers and fans can buy the DVD and Live CD from tomorrow and pursue the question: human being or something else?
